Supper Jazz with
Brian Chell Trio with Paul Wilson-Rhead on vocals

Following on from the successful Goosfest Supper Jazz Evening we have lined up some great acts for our winter programme.

Brian Chell (guitar) Martin Alcock (double bass, bass guitar)
John Milner (drums) partnership. They have just started to tour again and will be playing just a few select venues.

This band has a whelm of talent stretching collectively over “mmm…” years! Together they have a great melodic style that blends well, keeping every song on point.

Brian’s background is distinctively jazz guitar. A professional guitarist for 40 years having played with many top jazz performers, Ronnie Scott, Bill le Sage, Jools Holland to mention just a few.
His influences are from Wes Montgomery, Barney Kessel and Joe Pass.

Like Brian, Paul’s pedigree is extensive. As a session singer recording duets and backing vocals for top artists throughout his career, his breakthrough was with the formidable “High Priestess” of soul, Nina Simone, reaching a number one hit in nine countries around the world. Paul’s influences stem from the great American Song Book to contemporary jazz and big band swing combos.

With A relaxed and friendly atmosphere on stage the music you will hear from these exceptional jazz musicians supported with Paul’s blend of momentous vocal melodies will be an interpretation of well known jazz standards.

You will be drawn in by this powerful combination!
